New Interactive Work for Istvan Kantor
For Istvan Kantor’s January show at the Art Gallery of York University, I’m using Max/MSP and SoftVNS to create a new addition to the “File Cabinet Project”. A large playground slide is constructed in the gallery, and when visitors slide down it, a short video clip of them is captured. The playback of the clip, in short repeating loops, can be controlled with a set of filing cabinets fitted with infrared sensors and my custom sensor interface boards.
